Patients are required to stay in the hospital for 2-3 days and in a week’s time sutures are removed. Patients are advised to wear compression garments for atleast 3 weeks. After breast reduction surgery, patient can resume normal activities after 7 days however it might take some time for the breast to get supple and soft. So avoid any strenuous activity for 6-8 weeks.

The resultant shaping of the breasts is permanent and long lasting, although a little asymmetry can occur in the breasts post-operatively. There is nonetheless immense relief from all the anxiety of heavy breasts and the self esteem of the patient immediately shoots up. There may be some numbness around the nipple area which usually gets normal in a few weeks time.
